The partnership with the Tahitian association was signed in October 2016.
The aim is to help the table tennis development projects of the association on the island, especially within the underprivileged populations.
- Table tennis development in the underprivileged areas.
In order to develop the practice of table tennis in priority neighborhoods, we joined the Tahitian table tennis association and the city of Pirae in order to put together the necessary means and tools to initiate table tennis to the young population from those neighborhoods.
The goal of this project is to welcome as many people who are willing to play table tennis as possible, to train coaches and to organize some events and a championship. In the long run, the goal is to detect the talents and guide them towards high level performance.
Some concrete tables built on site will be availed to the city. PING SANS FRONTIÈRES will support with equipment.
- Table tennis development among persons with physical and mental disabilities
PING SANS FRONTIÈRES supports the national association in her endeavour to develop table tennis amongst disabled individuals. During an ITTF mission in October 2016, educators and coaches were trained in order to develop table tennis practice on the entire island.
