Since January 2020, PSF has developed awareness campaigns about handicap. The goal is to get as many people as possible aware of handicap, principally para table tennis in anticipation of the 2024 Paris Paralympics in order to demonstrate that, even with a handicap, some people experience exceptional personal or sports adventures.
For now these awareness campaigns take place in the Gard department and will be later developed everywhere in France. A para table tennis player is present on each occasion. He or she shares some time with pupils or attending people. If the location allows it, he or she can propose to play with them.
The development of this new activity in the field of handicap is following PSF’s involvement in Burundi rehabilitation centers. Indeed, PSF has donated tables and other materials to those centers so that their medical staff integrate table tennis into the rehabilitation process of their patients.
